I recognize that maille weave. I used to do my own riveted mail - started with just a spool of wire, coiled my own springs, cut it into rings, and used a press to make flat spots on the ends of each ring to hand-rivet....

Yeah it can be a nice semi-mindless task to waste a few hours (or weeks)

Once made a full riveted coif that went down past the shoulders. That took a while.

Tomorrow is the last day possible! I'm hoping for right now!!!!
