I would say AK because they are more durable and less maintainence but thats just me.

What are the main advantages of the AR over the AK?

that scope looks good but i don't know jack about them. i've only used them with other peoples guns. i guess i need to start with good brands and work from there.

I've always heard the durable part but a fried of mine who teaches law enforcement says they don't handle the 1000 courses they run as well as the AR.

AK's don't compete on accuracy past 100 yards

AK's and the ammo are no longer cheap

I see spare parts and ammo becoming a problem at some point in time.

maybe I will get over 800 today

some AK's are accurate over 100 yards.
