Dang, lazi and jackell are at it.
On a HD I am partial to #4 buckshot. For a slug outside in the open I like the Breneke. Practice with what you use, that way you know your patterns, etc. Now for going to the range and blasting cheap bulk pacs are the way to go.

Jackell, speaking of shotgunning. I heard there is a trap or skeet range out in Guthrie. Do you know anything about it? And going shooting on tuesday--that is a work day, what are you thinking???????

You're talking about Silverleaf Shooting Sports. I personally haven't used it but eveyone I talk to taht has says it is a first class facility. My father-in law (ex father-in-law actually) got a Taurus 1911 for Christmas that he hasn't gotten to shoot yet (long story). I promised him I'd taken him Tuesday Afternoon and we'd put it through it's paces.

i've been really wanting a fnp45. but there are several rifles i have been checking out. fnar and the remington 700 vtr... i also want to find something kind of beat up to try out some dura coating. just a bunch of things that i've been wanting and i will have a few dollars next week.

That is a good guy, I bet he will enjoy it and you will too. I got to shoot one of the Taurus 1911's and it was very accurate. I know there are those that will knock the Taurus 1911, but it is a tool like others.
What range are you going to? I have thought about joining the OKC Gun Club but that is a drive for me for the money and time that is required.
