The best for carry, the do-all combat knife, made for military personnel, thickest, strongest, least likely to break (virtually impossible), only SY blade with a penetrator tip, has great old busse combat grips that allow soldiers with small hands to get a death grip on the blade. Once again, and not to slam anyone or come across as saying "I got mine...", but...

I recall that there were some quite vocal elements saying, "We want something new, not the same old stuff" when Dan re-released knives. Now that we're getting first-time releases, there seem to be a lot of questions about re-releasing Dog Fathers and S6s -- calls for more DMs are not as common -- they're still pretty easy to find in the secondary market.

I suspect that you'll never see another "original DM" release, if for no other reason than I believe all of the old Busse basic handles have been recycled. Last Fall there were lots of 2nd generation DM CGs and YK CGs at Knob Creek, this Spring it was SoDs and YKs. For Military Overruns and leftovers, you'll need to go to shows because it's simply not practical to post very small quantities in the online store.

Perhaps Renee might be willing to maintain a "wish list" for when one or two of something are left over from a run, or perhaps not -- I doubt she's just sitting there waiting for something to do, and a list could become a significant source of aggravation if people keep inquiring about their status. Additionally, that's part of why people go to the shows, so they might well choose to keep them available for those.

I wouldn't be surprised to eventually see more Dog Fathers and hopefully more S6s as well -- I think S6s have always sold very quickly. However, if those are re-released, I hope not to hear complaints about only having the same old stuff for sale again.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some Dog Fathers and Scrapper 6s at Blade, maybe in some new colors.
