Someone get Reconseed off of the DMCG soapbox! Well, considering that Im only the ONLY soapbox of its kind, its hard to deny its perfection for a military knife. No other 5 inch knife in terms of strength and tough can touch it. Fact jack. Sorry the DMCG praise bothers you, I dont intend to stop anytime.

Jim - people call for the DMCG, S6, and DF's because.... THEY ARE THE BEST! IMO, those 3 knives are the best. I still want a NEW DFCG!!!! Once I get one of those, you guys are going to have to petition to get me banned by Klink. But my new DMCG that I found on another forum will be here soon. Oh yea and my sheaths!!!!!

RN (and RS) as far as catastrophic failure goes, I think the s6 will be just as tough. more minor failures (tip failure, dents, small edge blowouts etc.) I would think the s6 would be able to handle the same amount as the DMCG.
RS. I personally sure don't mind any praise you give to... well, any scrapyard! It's well deserved after all.
"Well, considering that Im only the ONLY soapbox of its kind, its hard to deny its perfection for a military knife"
I just don't understand what your trying to say there. I'm guessing a spelling error.
I would say that when paired with a small folder or it would be perfect.
Also, I can't deny that the DMCG is one of the (if not THE) toughest 5" knives around... but Strong is a completeley different term that does not accuratley describe the DMCG imo. really just "nitpicking" I guess. just thought I'd let you know... for future reference.
Also, I would have to agree with Jim. For the longest time I remember people begging for new models! I would just keep asking for newer models. the s6 and DF are Sy classics IMO and I would hope will be releaded again sometime in the future ... but for now keep pumping out the new models!
(also, there have been MANY releases of the DM and hopefully there won't be too many more in a while)

I wouldn't be surprised to see some Dog Fathers and Scrapper 6s at Blade, maybe in some new colors. S6's in new colors . Just as long as it's SR-77 steel I just loves SR-77!!!, here's just one of the reasons why. As some of you know I test all my knives chopping, skinning & quartering Deer. And being the session I went out for the first time this year, saw this one sleeping about 150m away. Drove a 210gr TSX from my 338 Win Mag into her spine. As you can see it was a quick kill. Some think that a biggish blade cannot perform the tasks of a smaller blade. Well the S6 proved this theory wrong. With boning out one of the legs with ease & precision. In-hand the S6 has little peers in the 6" class IMO. With it's SR-77, which takes & holds an edge great! Strength, well, we all know just how great this steel is. I could write up a longer review but I feel this might not be so welcomed here as my pic's do contain some explicit shots. So I will keep it simple. Running the S6 down the spine to open up the skin was nothing short a fantastic. Man this knife ROCKS as a one knife DO IT ALL survival I also tested the Strider SMF. For a folder this knife also performed like a champ. Man I wish Scrap Yard bought out a folder in SR-77 Next test will be with my Busse Skinny ASH & FAT Game Warden. I think the GW will excel but I cannot see the ASH keeping up with the S6. Stay tuned.
338, it just rolls off the tongue.

Sorry the DMCG praise bothers you, I dont intend to stop anytime. RS, I appreciate the DMCG, and many other designs as well. I was only teasing you a little that's all; that's why I put the smiley face after it, so you would know it was in good humour. On a serious note, I agree the DMCG is a good knife. As a fellow soldier that has served my country overseas on three tours, and looking at a fourth in the near future, I can appreciate the need for a knife you can rely on. The DMCG is a very good blade for those of us who need a knife that we can trust not to break when we're out in the middle of nowhere. It's essentially a prybar with an edge, and it's good at it. However, I use a knife for much more than just my job as a soldier. I hunt, I fish, I do chores in my yard, I camp.... I could go on and on, but you get the point. I find certain blade designs are better for certain jobs. I appreciate a nice Muela, Cold Steel, Himalayan Import, or Spyderco, and of course the various designs offered by the three Busse companies. Variety is the spice of life, and knives are a pleasant "spice" to enjoy; just ask fellow dogs like HornDog and Klink. I'm not saying to stop praising the DMCG, just to maybe try something different every once in a while.

tger , no hard feelings bro!!!
what i mean by the DMCG being the only soapbox was that there is only ONE soapbox one can be on regarding 5 inch sharpened prybars and thats what i was saying.

Nice pics of that deer cleaning. Im curious as to how your fat GW will preform. I would think not so well as it will try and split due to wedge action.... Anyway, nice pics!
