Hopefully we will get a "heads up" before they take them down
from Renee or Dan.

They also most likely won't charge your credit card until they're ready to ship.

So you could order now and not be charged for a couple months, possibly.

The SOD was that way. I passed on the Muk, so I couldn't say there.

I believe that manufacturers are prohibited by law from charging credit cards until they have the finished product in hand and they're ready to ship it to you.

There you go. Beauty! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Lots of time to scrounge up
some funds for one.
6 weeks or so.
It's the "or so" part you've got to be careful of. In the case of the Scrap Muks, I believe "or so" turned out to be less than 4 weeks. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> And when they left the store, they disappeared overnight without warning. Could that happen to the Scrapper 5's? You bet your sweet bippy it could!

Once again, there's only one safe time to buy Scrapper 5's, and that's . . .

[color:"red"]RIGNT NOW!!!
But the Muk was an LE...Limited Edition.

Does the LE designation infer that there are a limited number made, or that it is only available once, for a limited time?<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I am just curious. Wouldnt seem like a good business practice to cut people off early if there is plenty of SR101 to go around.

I know that anyone that wants one of the potentially upcoming INFI LEs had better act quick (If and when it happens). If they are 154CM they are gonna stick around a bit longer I would think.

Im not gonna guess their business plan,
Im sure they know when to do what....
I agree it would be nice if we could order whatever knife we wanted,
whenever we wanted to,but that would cause major production
problems, and Im sure drive the cost through the roof.
Most likely they have an idea how many they will make/sell
and know the timeframe it will take to do so....
Ba,ask a business major! Im a consumer! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Lets just all hope that those who want one
will have a chance to order one. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Once again, for the record, the only safe time to purchase Scrapper 5's at factory pricing is:

[color:"red"]RIGHT NOW!!!

Already did. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Now we play the waiting game. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />

Man, I can't wait for the S5 to show up on my porch. Now, I hope I can get me a LE with the #71 on it. Come on now, we are ready (well some of us)!
