I'd really like to see a side-by-side comparison shot of the M9LE with an NMSFNO.

I wonder if one could email the folks at the Swamp and get in on this purchase, since so many people seem to be announcing that they are canceling their orders
Wouldnt hurt to send a message to Eric at the Swamp and try and get on a
waitin list...

I was looking for specs at the store, and it shows the M9LE as in stock and available to order... I thought that was a bit odd. I thought the Swamp model was they emailed you a link to use to pay for your knife or something, after you got on the list by posting in a thread.

By the order link it stated that this is for preorders only. Any other orders would be canceled until all preorders are filled.

It FINALLY dawned on me that I had only pre-ordered, not actually placed the order. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> Got THAT corrected real quick!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" />

The M9LE is worth an e-mail to Eric MM....the price is a good one....the NMSFNO is also amazingly cheap for a knife in Infi at this size...a FSH which is about the same is over $500...even at Knob Creek...so for me I would grab a NMSFNO...if your budget can stretch that far...in larger knives I would go Infi and for a smaller blade SR101...like the Scrapper5...colour code those two as a pair and in all fairness all you would ever need would be them...maybe add a Swiss Army Knife or a Leatherman....and that is it on a performance level requirement.

After that it is collector territory...and addiction therapy LOL... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

So now not only do I have people trying to talk me into an NMSFNO, I've got them trying to talk me into an M9LE too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

I apologize for my ignorance, but could someone tell me why the timing is so bad on this one? It seems like there's a bit of buyer remorse floating around at the moment.
For me, a visit to the Busse booth at Knob Creek, a couple Bark Rivers, $200 worth of Spyderco Byrds (I'd heard that the Byrd line might get dropped, but I think it's actually just a couple models), 4 Himalayan Imports, and now two M9LEs, resulted in spending over $2800 just for knives this billing cycle -- that's why I hoped to shift the M9LE order to my next cycle. I had a couple months where I kept my spending under control, but I should really consider my tax refunds as spent on M9LEs and S5CGs.

I've got a tax refund on the way, am selling some climbing gear, and hopefully starting a new job at the end of the summer. Things are looking up

2 fixed blades
1 multitool or SAK
1 machete
1 axe
1 saw

That's really all you would ever need but what fun would that be? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />
