So the HOGs seem to have a tradition of going to Fogo de Chao, and I've heard a thing or three about cheesecakes, but if you're going to be in Atlanta for BLADE, there is one place you MUST visit...

The Vortex Bar and Grill, with locations in Little Five Points, and Midtown, is an Atlanta tradition, and probably the best burgers you'll find in the city. If you're looking to spice things up, you can switch out the beef for a bison patty, and they sometimes have more exotic options like ostrich.

But the really great part of the Vortex is the crazy burgers they have available.

There are quite a few really good and interesting options - but two immediately spring to mind.

The first is the Elvis burger, which is topped with bananas, peanut butter, and bacon.

The second is the Double Bypass burger. While I could describe it here, I think it's better to look at the video at this link, to get a feel for just how incredibly awesome this burger is....

Me too. I get nervous in yuppie fern bars where people don't talk to each other but only to somebody not there on their cell phones. Give me a biker bar or redneck juke joint anytime. My sister has a condo in Buckhead, but I can't use it, being a dirtbag biker and all. Buckhead is somewhere near Atlanta. I think it is one of the twin cities, Beavis and Buckhead.
