Nice pics!
You guys really remind of Sharp and Cloak (some older dogs), they use to always go into the woods and do the same stuff. You could probably find a lot of their threads if you do a search.

Woodsboys playing in the woods. That was me nearly 50 years ago. We had whatever knives and choppers we could afford from the Army Surplus stores: bayonets, machetes, and Ka-Bars. Most of our gear was military surplus or Boy Scout gear. And of course, Daisy provided the firepower. That's where all the paper route money went. I am so glad to see that some of today's young folks still appreciate playing in the woods. It's better than playing video games all day. That "play" is some of the best real world survival training available. You learn skills that will be useful all your lives. Good to see boys doing normal boy stuff. Have fun and be careful with those choppers. I love the pictures. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Me I see somebody gave you firearms safety instruction. Your trigger finger is outside the trigger guard and the rifle is pointed in a safe direction. Good photo.

Especially black snakes - they are valuable predators and help control pest species that can do a lot of damage and spread a lot of disease. Plus they are pretty much harmless around humans. Unless you're eating it, I see no reason to kill one. Cool pics but a bummer about the snake. yea but i was walking along and it spooked my cuz i almost stepped on and hit it with a stick before anything else, plus i dont like snaked sorry.
When was the last time you steped out in the woods?

But we both spend all of the money we make from working on our farm on knives, gear, and guns.
