We once had a thread where we posted our Yahoo Messenger IDs so we could chat that way if we wanted. A lot of people already had a Yahoo ID...

for whatever reasons i have never been big on chat rooms. oh well... there's always the death chat.

yeah we tried the chatroom thing before. also, any of us who would be into that already have an instant messenger ID or skype or something like that.

IRC was voted down just like this effort back a couple of years ago. And the same reasons. This forum is for Scrap Yard Knives,it's what we all have in common. When we share our knife stories here along with many off topic subjects no one felt a need for IRC. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Boots, well done, but i think there is just too much information overload out there. We got email, multiple email addresses, different forums, facebook, Twiiter, Myspace etc etc etc etc etc....i think after a while people get jaded at yet another form of communication...
