The second night the temp dropped to 50. With the wind chill in the low 40's and with all the rain I had a damp bed. Luckily I was prepared

dude, you pack like I do bro, wife gives me so much grief for taking so much gear but I would rather have it and not need it then the other way around. That said, I just explain that the beer/guns/knives are what are taking so much room, she then rolls her eyes and walks away in disgust
cool pics so far bro, keep em coming

It rained heavily and almost continually for four days. My tent did not fair well.

The good news is all the rain did wash the tree pollen off everything.

Good news! I did find my Bird Dog. The SOD was never used again. The bird Dog was used mainly for camp chores. As a steak knife, chicken knife, chunked up potato's, as well as opening various packages and preparing clothes lines. My fishing buddy kept reaching for it....I'm lucky I got home with it

Thanks to all the fire building post here in the Yard I was able to apply one of the methods posted to get the fire going. This was the method....

Because of all the rain and storms we were only able to put the boat on the water and fish half a day. My fishing buddy made me look bad this year. He caught the first fish, the last fish, the biggest fish, the smallest fish and the most fish. Did I mention we only caught one fish

On a final note my "Old Hickory" butcher knife that has been in my camp box since I started camping and has always handled all of the meal prep isn't speaking to me . It never came out of the camp box this trip. The bird Dog handled everything.

Sorry SB. All of them wasn't an option. Would have been nice to be able to take all of them.

I don't have a wife to worry about anymore. Mine used to complain about how long it took to unpack and put everything up.

Old Hickory may wind up going in the house.
