dude, you pack like I do bro, wife gives me so much grief for taking so much gear but I would rather have it and not need it then the other way around. I grew up with a car camping / RVing family, and that's how we were - we packed so much crap, and camping was pretty much like living at home but in a different place.
Now, even when I car-camp, I try to pack everything in a 65L backpack, and maybe throw in a cooler and some firewood since the car will be nearby. Most of the time I don't even bother with those.
It's amazing how comfortably you can be, even with a severely lightened load, once you get used to it. Stuff like giant coleman folding stoves and camp chairs just aren't needed when you figure out how to work around them.
