The 'Gift' angle might work. Perhaps you can have it sent to someone in the States who can ship it to you as a gift.
You may be able to establish it as a collector's item, like a katana or other sword becomes a work of art instead of a weapon.

Sadly, most people don't realize there is no such thing as a lethal weapon, only lethal intent.
To judge a tool as a weapon simply because those with lethal intentions would use it as such is infuriating. Those with lethal intentions could just as easily use a pencil, a fork, a chopstick, or a snapped off branch from a tree. Should we outlaw all these things as well?
Again, I am sorry that you were uable to take this very beautifully crafted tool home, and use it as the camping accessory you no doubt would have used it for. I pray that someday, the laws will change so that you are given more freedom in your choice of tools. spoons did make Rosie O'Donnell fat........ <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />
