That is just not fair and sorry to hear this. Can you imagine if the US started kicking a bunch of China imports ? I ship daily to all points on the globe and have not had much trouble with China. There are other countries where I just will not ship. I hope it arrives safely back in the US as i have had some customs officials in certain countries that have made products dissapper. Seems like many customs agents have a very nice collection in their homes in some countries at others expense. Good Luck- hope you find a way

i don't think Chinese enforcement department have any intentional bias on the imported item.Chinese law also regulate the export of blade,ALL shippers would not ship knives to foreign countries.they will not pick up knives when you info them .Chinese public security view knives as weapon ,they think knives harmful to society.BUT,as we bladenuts know, these imported knives are not more danger than our kitchen knives.we all acknowledge it other than the enforcement dept.Strange idea!!!!!!!!!!! they think knives are the same deadly weapons as guns!!! if a person own a gun,or you ship a gun ,or you make a gun ,or you will purchase a gun ,you will face the most strict punishment,fixed-term imprisonment, life imprisonment ,or death penalty.

My heart breaks for such an unreasonable ruling, lachine. Having weapons is a right here in the US, but many would make it here like it is in China. Freedom is a beautiful thing, and I am sorry for your loss. At least you got to see it. +1 I REALLY hope we don't loose many of our great freedoms. Sadly, we have lost a few over the years. But, MOST of our country is turning into SHEEPLE. With Sheeple and people who "FEAR", we will LIKELY loose more freedoms over time. FEAR is a BIG enemy of freedom. Governments who FEAR people having things, control, knowledge, etc. People who FEAR others having things they are afraid of - makes people want LAWS restricting those things. Etc. .

very sorry to hear about this, Lachine.
I'm a proponent of freedom across the board, and while people being denied "weapons" conflicts with my core values, being denied a TOOL is criminal. My knives are tools.

That's not good news lachine and I know if that happened to me, I would not be happy. It must be a challenge dealing with what we in many states take for granted.
The deadly weapon argument does not hold any water with people who deal in common sense. There are many people in this country who lack the common sense as well.
