Hi, everyone. I am new to the forum, and to the Scrap Yard. In my new knife addiction, I decided to standardize on Scrap Yard for fixed blades, and Spyderco for folders. I just ordered a couple of Scrapper 5s, and was wondering if anyone had sheaths that they could recommend or produce for these. Does anyone have any ideas? I searched the forum, and saw some really nice looking ones that had been made, but I wasn't sure if these were for-the-individual, or something to be produced in quantity for sale.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hello there and welcome to a great place. Get ready for a heck of a roller coaster ride. The SY knives are the best kept secret. As you noticed none of us have got a S5 yet, but as soon as the sheath makers do there will have them out. We are lucky to have several talented members that can make sheaths out of leather or kydex.

Again, welcome to the board!

Scrap Yard Knife Company has produced sheaths for a few of their blades... the Scrapper 5 is not one of them. So you'll need to either make one yourself (which many users do and like taking the time to learn) or find someone to do it for you.

I have not the skill nor desire at this point to learn myself, so I have them made by Jeff Law of Rainwalker Creations.

Here.

He's made two for me, and I've "pre-ordered" one for the S5. However, he can't make the S5 sheath until he gets his, the same time we all get ours!

There are other sheath makers that kick butt as well, but I like working with Jeff, so I go with Rainwalker.

Welcome to the yard Raoul! I might be able to help...
When the knife is released and shipped, I would assume a number of sheath makers will be releasing sheath options. Or, when you get your S5 you could send one of your blades to Jeff at Rainwalkercreations.com, and he will make you a number of sheaths based on that blade. Jeff does excellent work, and there are numerous other sheath makers that can masterfully shape kydex for your S5. I would be patient, and see what everyone has to offer with sheathing options Hope this helps man.

Welcome to the yard. The S5 looks like a great blade.

Hello and Welcome to the forum. Those are two pretty good choices for folders and FB's but I don't think I could restrict myself to just two. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Yard!

I'm sure Jeff "Rainwalker" and the others will be ordering the S5 (he's a knife nut too!) so you won't have to send him your blade.

I also think he is one of the best makers and a great guy and friend.

+1. Welcome to the forum. I also don't believe I could ever limit myself to just Scrapyard. What would I do with my Busses and Swamp Rats?

Thanks again to everyone for the warm welcome. I choose to limit myself before my "boss" limits me It keeps the domestic life a little simpler, and I really don't feel deprived. I can't wait to put some of these Scrap Yards through the paces!
