That sure does look like an awesome Pig sticker!
I'd love to have one, just because it's so thick and tough (and sr101!!!) but honestly, I'm waiting for something with a different style (around s6 size) so I def. won't be getting in on it... though it should be priced reasonably. (for what it is)
I'll def. be excited to see how it performs.

WOWZA! Who needs a test, put those babies on the market!

That is a definite must have, looks like it'll make an awesome pig sticker!

For real. Didn't Dan just show it doing the point test and and chopping concrete blocks? Maybe some of you who chop granite and shoot them with 45s should test them. What a beastly bowie! 1/3 " thick SR101. Oh yeah, it's tough enough for me. But in the interest of science, I'll test one.

This is a unique opportunity to get in on an early-type/style, test it and provide feedback to us prior to any offering and or producing anything. I will post the details of the test team requirements. I suspect that these will gain value over time due to there uniqueness but thats not a bad thing for having to use a knife

Wow, .333" thick!

It's cool, but personally not my thing. I much prefer the SOD, but then again, I haven't held the knife yet.

Dan

I personally LOVE to provide feedback and what I "intend" to be constructive criticism - I tend to be big on details and I guess I'm a critic - what can I say?

So, I will probably have to join in just to have the opportunity to provide my two cents..... Plus, I don't think it to be likely I will be able to afford to help out on the "Test Team" for the KZ.

I honestly didn't read the "Test Team" requirements on the Busse forum, but I was told by a fellow member that the "Feedback" is not to be publicly posted or shared.

I assume that will likely (?????) be the case here.

If so, now that pics are up, it might be good to post the requirements soon to possibly prevent too much commenting based on pics alone.

I have some thoughts. But, I will hold those for now. - But, not wanting to make "that" sound like a bad thing. I actually see a LOT that I like!

I can't resist one thing though and most everybody here knows my thoughts on this anyway - So, I'll go ahead and mention my preference for satin. ..... Any Chance????

Good question!

However, at 0.333" thick, you might end up just pounding the blade through the granite, boulders and what-not rather than getting the "spring" effect others might achieve with less substantial knives.

Dan.... it is really quite simple. The honest truth is I have BAD memory. I am literally afraid I have early stages of Alzheimer's (however you spell it?). I am HORRIBLE at remembering MANY things.

..... But, I "Guess" I have "Selective" memory.... because some things are worth remembering!

I liked that design when I first saw it.

I even made up a concept way back when - probably not long after seeing your design (must have been early 2007 as my concepts were created then - to try to take your design that I considered very good, but to try to make use of the "Scrap Yard / Res-C" options that we had available at the time and make it a feasible option.

From Feb. 2007 :

.... Hmmmmm, early photo-shopping techniques need refinement - Needs some refinement work on the choil.

Wow I am pumped! This is the perfect next size to follow up the S5, and looks like it will be a tank. Increasing in value is not a factor for me personally, since every knife I have gets used. This one will be great for the outdoors. If these are the colors that will be offered, I will buy the OD/Sage.
