I agree Bruce. No need for a test- but IF it is a test model shouldn't cost that much. I am feeling a bit left out. First the Khuk- then the Regulator and now a new Swamp is going to be at Blade. Seems to me they should just release them and let the loyal folks on the boards have a shot at them. I know I haven't been here that long- but I have bought a pile of knives- post on the board as much as possible- have funds to buy whatever I want and am being punished for not going to Blade <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />? I;ll take one Khuk- at least two Regulators and a couple of the new Rodent series to boot. The hell with the " test" - I want to USE the [censored] things as I already KNOW they are GREAT blades <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. Oh well- maybe my thinking is messed up- but if someone has great products like these- seems they should let the folks that have been spending have first shot. In other words the loyal customers. I see your point ordawg, but you could also argue that the folks who travel long distances to go to BLADE are the most loyal of the customers. The folks who are willing to go through the insanity of the "trough" at the BLADE tables are certainly some of the most loyal customers.

I see no problem with releasing stuff at big shows, as that gets you more publicity. I'm not crazy about the "test" models only being released to inducted members, though. Hopefully when Dan posts the requirements for the TT Regulator, he won't require inducted dogs, but we will see...




Side note: While I was typing up this reply, the Warren G song "regulators" came on during random play on my iphone. The song opens up with the movie quote that was posted earlier in this thread. I don't think that having the a) time, b) funds, c) ability and d) priorities to travel to BLADE means that an individual is necessarily any more loyal than others. I am sure that there are a lot of people that show greater loyalty to the Bussekin brands via a), b), c) or d) individually, and have substantial or focused interest in the knives that are equal to anyone else. But, the term "loyalty" is very subjective - most companies would measure it via exclusivity of the relationship to the customer within that market or the amount of revenue from the customer, rather than via attendance at a remote event.

I would like a green handled one. Thing is, I want the S5 LE first. Does that make me a bad person?
