Yeah, we have talked this one to death, haven't we, and the thread has drifted away from the new model itself. Seems like we are talking more about the test team aspect versus the blade itself. If or when it is produced for the masses, I will be ordering two. That's all from me: I'll be quiet now

it is too thick for me anyway. It seems a bit much to me too, ifj. But can you imagine what it would take to break it? I have an idea. We could reduce the amount of test time needed on the Regulator from months to days. All we have to do is send one to noss and see if he can destroy it before it destroys him! I heard someone DID send one to Noss. Stay tuned for the Masked Test Team

NO WAY!!!! I've heard a lot of people trash talk Noss but the fact that he gets nothing out of doing those tests should speak for itself. My fave is the underwater one. Honestly, anyone who sees that vid will see what a potential real life scenario will require. Your life could be in the balance depending on the blade in your hand. I bet the Regulator will get some chuckles out of him.

I think after Noss breaks about an inch and a half off the tip off, he will have a long ordeal in damaging the rest.

If a Schrade survival knife can give him an ordeal on the tip, that bowie will break him. However, I think his tests will truly show if the tang will be substantial enough. I still have my doubts.

Noss speaks with his 'hammer of truth' . He got me into Scrap Yard, Busse & Strider knives through the destruction videos. And I have no doubt I would of bought(wasted my $$$) on a certain brand of knife that broke rather easily in the wood/hammer test. So my hats off to Noss. As awesome as this thing looks, I don't see how it could replace my SOD.

The SOD didn't replace my CT either. One of the main reason why the CT is lengendary is because it is made of differentially tempered SR101 (just take a look at the some of the crazy secondary market prices, they go from 2x to 3x the org. cost).
I think this one will do great. Think thick SR101 that will stay sharp for a very LONG period of time. Be it chopping or cutting food. It will still come back with a decent edge after your week long camping trip.
and last but not least, yes we like SR101 .
