I don't really know if internet customers are the lowest priority - if we are so be it.
We are. And yet we're still more fortunate than most. By making the effort to find our way here, we now have access to SOME Busse family knives at factory pricing. Others either forgo the privilege of owning the world's finest hard-use knives altogether or pay secondary market prices to acquire them.

For what it's worth, I agree with the concerns I've heard about the way the test teams were constructed. Rather than structuring the teams to reward an elite group of trade show attendees, I would have have sought out individuals who obviously use and test their knives. They aren't that difficult to find. The boards are loaded with them. I would then have contracted with those individuals to pre-test the knives. And I'd have done it on the down low so as not to stir up customer envy.

Choosing one "elite" group over another "elite" group would make it okay for you? Being dishonest about it would make it okay for you? You have an interesting, although seemingly inconsistent, take on the situation.

Honestly, these arguments strongly echo every other argument I have heard from people complaining about having to be online at the right time to pick up a SY from the store. Is anything different this time?

I just want one already. Is it order time yet...or are we looking at two weeks or so?

It's hard to not get excited, but I know that the agony of waiting through a 6 month test team process, followed by ordering, followed by production, will be overwhelming if I allow myself to get too focused on the Regulator. I know that I will be buying two and thrashing on them once/if they are available.

My sense is that you like to argue for the sake of argument rather than to add anything useful to the conversation, SJ. If you have an original thought, please let me know. Otherwise, I'm simply not interested in engaging you.

Have a nice day.

My sense is that your feelings are hurt and you are really unable to articulate whether or not there is anything realistically unfair, unethical, or immoral with what has been done. I think that's okay, but you need to take some time for personal reflection. Its a process of growth.

Guys - everybody relax and stay civil, as I don't want to have to lock this thread. Let's give Dan credit for "Superior Performance to Price Ratio" and taking care of us. I will again remind everyone that Scrap Yard is a small company - an AMERICAN company - and it takes a little time! They DO NOT contract their work with China, Brazil, Spain, or anywhere else. I am happy and proud to do business with an AMERICAN company!!

Please don't allow jealousy or petty differences to ruin your time in the Yard. There is a tremendous sense of Brotherhood here, so let's keep that in mind when posting. As Dan so often says, "Long live the Brotherhood of the Yard"!
