Personally the "Bowie" style blade is my favorite.

Well, aside from the historical aspect, the Bowie can be a survival knife, fighter, or whatever you need a knife for. And it can do the job better than many other styles. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

So is the Regulator pretty much a shorter version of the infamous Battle Rat?! The BR is .25'' thick whereas Dan states the Regulator to be .33'' thick. The BR is longer, but what the Regulator lacks in length is compensated by its girth! Both are differentially tempered SR-101 and both have the RessyC handles. So...are they going to perform similarly?
