Flying to Atlanta gonna cost me about $1000. If I buy knives for $3000 and dont have to pay swedish taxes itīs gonna be worth it. So I need $4000... and I only got $49.95 for my soul... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

A 24 foot RV (big enough for my family of 6) with gas and food plus $1000 for steel will be close to $5000.
I'm there with ya!
But it'll be worth it, making it a big road trip.

I voted no, Getting there does not justify the cost. It would cost me the same as several nice Busse's for the trip. Although if I lived with my mom in her basement, I would have the funds to do it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Tikigod - I USED to feel the same way, but after finally making my first Blade in 07' I changed my mind! It is much more than "just a knife show"! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> What really made it for me was the chance to meet the Busse families and so many fellow Dogs, Rats, and Hogs. When I first got there I felt like a total stranger and "a fish out of water". That changed as soon as I got to the Busse booths - they treated me like family! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> That was nicer and more fun to me than seeing all the other knives and knife companies!! Of course, there are plenty of them there as well. I enjoyed some of the demonstrations such as the knife-cutting championship and the samurai sword demonstration among others. My wife and I went again in 08' and we had a great time again. The only reason we missed this year's show was that my son and his family came to visit us. Next year we are celebrating our anniversary and taking in the Blade show for vacation! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
