I need a new pack. My $20 gun show pack has started to come apart after only 70 miles or so. Its a pretty pathetic strap failure. The sad part is that I really liked the design, even though the quality sucked. It had one main compartment, one middle compartment, and two outer compartments. It had a few organizers inside and plenty of MOLLE on the outside. I used the armor plate sleeve for my Camelbak bladder.

I would be really happy to find a nearly identical setup that I could depend on for a while. I wish I could give an estimate of the volume it held. I think it was probably most similar to a Spec Ops T.H.E Pack. These are a few that I'm looking at in my price range.

I just got a Badlands Whitetail Hybrid.

Not my favorite color (they only offer Real Tree camo right now) but it's a small sacrifice for the most comfortable suspension as well as the toughest pack with the most insane warranty.

I've only hiked 14 miles since I've got it, but my pack was loaded and very comfortable.

I love that thing.

Plus, Badlands is located in Salt Lake City, so I got to check them all out in their factory store first. Got a good price, lower than any posted online!

In the "tactical" pack arena I like Eagle Industries packs. They are made in the US and backed by a great warranty (SpecOps does as well). I really like my AIII pack quite a bit and have had it for a few years now. I have the extra side pouches as well, but usually don't end up using them since I got the large AIII. Here is a pic all loaded up for an excursion.

I've got a 2200 and they are the ONLY, the ONLY pack with a lifetime warranty with no fine print. They dont care where you bought it or how it got damaged. All that "manufactures defects" stuff is bs imho.

Tactical Tailor makes a pack almost identical to the one you had......and its bomber construction. Flip it inside out and there is a blaze orange panel for signaling aircraft. Its the 3 Day pack

I will get pics up today.

Looks like a great pack, but don't see any MOLLE webbing. Might be a little pricey for me too. Looks comfy, though.

An AIII Molle pack seems pretty good besides the lack of internal organizers. I guess I could add a pack rat. That one is probably at the very upper limit of my price range.

The Badlands warranty will sell alot of people on the pack. They most likely will never need it though they are really tough.
