Nice work, Vic! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I was very tempted to pick up another BDLE myself, but I spent most of my Blade funds on something big and shiney and made of INFI! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, I heard that rumor from CP. I got one myself on Saturday. Aren't you glad we have fellow dogs so eager to spend our money? Quite a few dogs scored those big shiny INFI choppers. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Nice work, HD. I can't get over how much I like my black BD. It was a last, last minute purchase (like 2 min after the show closed on Fri). Thanks to the SY gals for this. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> I'm glad I did. I've added a little bit of a convex edge to mine, but nothing compared to yours. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

I cut up a cantaloupe today with mine. It has just the right shape for that job. Nothing like a chilled cantaloupe after a hot day in the sun. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Heh, I used my BDLE for a cantaloupe about a week ago. It was a champion at the job.

I may or may not have used a top secret huge knife made from INFI to cut up a watermelon recently too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Melons are part of the secret Test Team protocol, I'm sure. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Most Scrap Yard knives are made for rough military field use, and while they will certainly cut, they are not great slicers. The YK CG, MPLE, and SMLE slice pretty well. The new Scrapper 5 promises to be a good slicer, too. But the little BD is the best SY slicer I own. The 1/8" thick blade allows a very thin edge. I love these knives and picked up another one at Blade with a black handle. Having sharpened several of them for others, I have the technique down for turning these little small game/fishing knives into world class slicers. They make great boning knives, too. Today I put the edge on my new one. That 154CM may be hard to sharpen, but man does it ever take a sharp edge. The BD is one of my favorite Scrap Yard knives. It serves me well in the kitchen and as a handy blade in the woods.

It is one of my favorites...that narrows it down doesn't it!!! The handles really made it for me and then the slicing
