I hope not.

Stab-Proof Knife

I hope I never see a Busse, SR or SY stab-proof knife.

Take the edge off and it looks like that plastic ware for a picnic. Must have gotten the design from safety scissors used in kindergarten.

Isn't a sheath a stab-proof device for knives...I must be missing something

With banning all non-blunted knives, are they going to ban any and all types of sharpening stones and grinders as well? Anyone could take one of those blunt knives and make it have a tip again.

These people really need to stop focusing laws on the method and instruments of harm, and instead focus on the intent of those wishing to do harm. Make harsher laws, like the death penalty, and you will reduce crime.... or at least get rid of repeat offenders!

As one of the few dogs living in this mixed up country, on the whole I agree with this...

However- the death penalty will never be brought back. Two reasons, firstly no jury would convict if the defendant faced the noose as miscarriages of justice do occur (both sides of the pond..) and secondly there are too many do-gooder, bleeding heart, wishy-washy, (offenders) human rights obsessed a-holes over here who scare the hell out of the government so they'd never bring hanging back...

Me, if I had my back to a wall and one of those knives handy I'd just go for the carotid artery. On offenders- I just wish the judiciary over here would lock the repeat offenders up for life on the third jailable offence like (I believe) many US states do. That would either serve as a deterrent to others or at least get the pointless pond-life off the streets... Rant Over!

The "people" that really need to be examined are the 'doctors' who are making the documentaries against knives.

"It was invented by industrial designer John Cornock, who was inspired by a documentary in which doctors advocated banning traditional knives."

Didn't some 'doctors' make a stink about razor sharp Teflon coated bullets that when fires from a handgun can pierce the bucket of a bulldozer and blow people's heads off when then accidentally shoot themselves in the foot? This article seriously makes me wonder if those doctors were given their degrees, with no schooling, in exchange for putting together the documentary.

Funny story now... I went to the local Mom and Pop grocery to pick up some brewski's, buns, ice cream, you know the necessities. I was almost ready to check out and my phone goes off. My boy (then 10 yrs. old) tells me hurry home he stabbed himself. I threw everything down, ran out the door, drove like a maniac to get home. Ran inside to find a invisible, smaller than small, little puncture. I was greatly relieved but told him (just like Big Jake did) that he just took 10 yrs. off my life, and I didn't have 10 yrs. to spare. Now I can laugh, them it wasn't quite as funny.
