YES! HI gives us such beautiful blades.

i wasn't very happy with the western handle, though.

Wowza!

Say, uh, any chance we could have a camping trip sometime, Ted? You bring all those beautiful blades to play with, and I'll bring the Candian beer?

The book is absolutely fantastic. Larry is a really nice guy too. I originally got the book because the main character carries an HI khukri, but I can't wait for the sequel now.

OK HI lovers! help guide me...I was looking at those deals that pop up in the HI section of BF and the price of the Bone Cutters look attractive...is that a good place to start? What's a good starting size? Why do they tag on the small blades?? Stupid/basic questions all,but help a brother out!

The WWII or BAS is a good starting choice. Look for one that is 15"-18" OAL. The smaller blades are the karda and the chakma.

karda - a small knife carried in the khukri sheath
chakma or chakmak - the steel for striking on flint to produce fire; steel for sharpening knives (frequently found with a khukuri).
