I posted this over on Death Chat last night, thought I'd share it here: So, got overzealous. Check out the mark in the table. Who knew a pineapple would only take one light chop? How did it feel you ask? The butter comparison no longer fits. It felt like cutting through air. Scary. *Note* What really surprised me was the slicing capabilities. I always see posts about how thick knives aren't for slicing but the SOD told me otherwise. I started with big slices thinking that would be the extent of it but when I found out how easy it was I started going super thin. I got some see-through ones, but I ate 'em. By then the pineapple was begging for consumption.

Art, I enjoyed them then, and I still enjoy them now. Guess the SOD didn't think it was done working after cutting through the pineapple, and decided to start a D-test on your table. That pineapple makes me so hungry!

SODs, and SYKs in general, seem to have nasty dispositions that way. Everything it sees becomes a D-test target

A knife for every purpose: SOD for pineapple, BD for cantaloupe, DFLE for water melon......Nice work, Art.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Ouch! Glad I don't have granite, lol. The feeling was definitely cool at first. Then, a loud THUD. Oops. Maybe no one will notice...

Cool pics and that pineapple looks good. That table will think twice before acting up again. I had a table that looked at me the wrong way once. I christened an RD7 on it.

I love that knife, wish I'd found the yard earlier. If I am not mistaken I have heard a couple of dogs say they have an extra SOD laying around. Check some of the threads titled BLADE trip or somehting to that nature and you will find them. I have an SOD, its a great knife.

I have one SOD left, and honestly am not sure whether to keep it or not. If I get rid of it, it will be my last SR-77 blade, so I kinda feel like I should hang onto it, if only to have a reminder why I like SR-101 so much
There are several of them for sale on the Bladeforums exchange, but those guys usually want around 200 bucks - which is something like 70 or 80 bucks more than what I paid at BLADE.

MM, I say keep the SOD so you will have at least one example of SR77 in your collection. I love my SODLE and don't think I will ever part with it.
