I voted yes, although I can understand why they don't. For my particular issue, I could also resolve it if the store allowed be to update payment information for an order that has not been processed.

However, as a web programmer, I also understand why you don't want people making changes to an accepted order -- if they could change CC payment data then they'd would want to switch payment methods (and since PayPal uses an entirely different process, that would cause problems, and probably fees). Also, people have asked about adding or removing items, which impacts shipping and would disrupt production quantities/timelines gained by adopting a pre-order business model. Does an altered order go to the back of the line for delivery, or retain its original position? There's a lot of problems that can't be solved to everyone's satisfaction when you allow self-service of existing orders.

I voted no. Email is easier to deal with and the amount of calls would slow the shop down. They might even have to hire a new person just to man the phone.

A phone probably wouldn't hurt but I voted no because I have never had a problem going through email either with Patti or now Renee.

Oh, wow. I think that is my fault. This dude messaged me on youtube asking all kinds of questions about them, and when I told him how they did business he got all pissed at me kinda.

I'll go get the messages.
For a guy to piss and moan like he did in that video, at the last of the video he said if you have a SY for sale cheap contact him. what a douche Bag. he can get inline like the rest of us and wait.~RT

my vote was yes. i simply would like to know that i can call if i should ever need to.

the thing is that i would probably not be one to call. i have plenty of patience and understand the 2 weeks thing. i also seriously doubt that i will have a warranty claim that would require anything more than email correspondence. my guess it would either be a legit call for someone with less internet connectivity or a call from a clown like that video idiot. nobody should have to deal with a idiot like that but it's a part of doing good business. for the legit buying, waiting, and using customers it would be a comfort and a reinsurance that sykc stands with their products as close as a phone call. since we already know they do my feelings won't change regardless of what happens.

keep up the good work!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Clint, Mag. Here is the message that dude sent me, and then the message I sent back. I think he originally left a comment to me or something..

HIM: why do they insist on keeping the knives you can't buy on their site? It's just stupid and it pisses people off because the only way you can get one is to buy from some random guy from some random forum for double or triple the price.

I Don't like the scrapper 5,I Like the scrapper 6 and the dog father....also the dumpster mutt and street scrapper 4....I Guess I Liked a lot of them lol. when will they have a new one out?...about when anyways.

ME:Hey,

You can't go wrong with any Bussekin (Busse, Scrap Yard, or Swamp rat).

They all have the same business method though; they offer one model for a few weeks and then that's that, it's gone. Don't let it drive you away.

Scrap yard definitely offers the best bang for your buck, and Sr-77 is just at TOUGH as INFI, just doesn't hold an edge as long and it rusts faster.

Swamp Rat uses Sr-101, which holds an Edge like INFI but rusts the worst of the three.

Busse uses INFI, it is the best steel out there, hands down.

Right now, the knife scrap yard is offering is the 'Scrapper 5' which is made out of Swamp rat's Sr-101 steel. At 100 bucks it is a great deal.

Here is a link to the knife, to get an idea of what it looks like, and what colors are available.

Anyway man, anything you need to know, hit me up.

LOL. I was going mostly by what I have read. It's not like I will ever push any Bussekin steel to the limits.

eh, i just checked out that video. first thing that pops up if you search for scrap yard knives.

we need to make some positive vids that will get some hits.

i have seen this guy before and i hate watchin his vids. it would be nice if he turned on the camera knowing what he was going to say and maybe did some editing.
