I spoke with Sierra Trading Post again today. Despite what I was told last week, they said they were able to get my order out on Friday, so it should be here Tuesday. Even though we had confirmed my email address last week, we were able to find an error in it today. I was also allowed to use one of the better 30% off coupons rather than my original 20% off coupon. The lady on the phone was very helpful and apologetic this time. AFAIC Sierra Trading Post has made this right with me, pending the arrival of my gear. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Buying boots is a tricky situation. Sometimes I do OK, sometimes I don't. Still looking for the ultimate pair....

My favorite brand is Salomon. I'll try to upload my favorite hiker ASAP.

These boots have saved my ankles many times. All of my Salomon boots out performed my expectations. [img][image]http://i36.tinypic.com/yj4sl.jpg[/img][/image] [img][image]http://i34.tinypic.com/2gyatn5.jpg[/img][/image]

I gotta go 100 to get to the factory store. I drive 2 miles to Baker Boots here in Eugene for mine.

Where ya located ? I'm guessing Gresham.

The North Face! Hundreds and hundreds of miles on these 8 or 10 year old boots.

Asolo? I have a pair of Asolo summer boots that I just love. Very light yet strong and protective. A little spendy but as far as I've been able to tell all good boots are expensive.
