Our customers have told us that they want the best performance at the lowest price. That is why I spend so much time looking through piles of scrap.
To be honest, I have not found left over sheaths that I could throw in on the knife price.
As always, I am on the look out for this type of opportunity and I will continue to do my best for you Dogs.
Please keep me up to speed on what you think is needed as we build this company

Everyone has a different opinion on what sheath they want. Instead of charging you for a sheath you dont like, the busse families let you procure your own. I like this stratagy better as it saves money in the long run. Besides it got me into making my own kydex sheaths.

I agree with you Rabid one.....alot of the folks who buy high end knives wnat high end sheaths....If it saves me money I would opt for not getting a sheath...and like you said...it helped you start making your own!

Well, different strokes for different folks! However, I have to admit that I made my own sheath for my Scrapper. It is the "plainest" of plain Janes, not much more than a couple of rectangular pieces of leather cemented together with some spacer pieces in between. Once I find my pack of needles I will drill some tiny holes and stitch the sheath together, along with the leather cement. I made the bottom piece longer so that I could fold it over for a belt loop, then cemented it in place, soon to be stitched also. Not pretty, but functional. It sure holds a great blade!

I like the option to buy a decent cheap sheath with your knife (or go to your favorite fitter to order one if you have money to burn...) Of course in Britain sheathless knives (Busse...) are a nightmare! (Unless you are happy paying import duties and shipping a couple of times sending your new toy to get sheathed in the US!!)
Good value knives with cheap optional sheaths, everyone wins!

Dogs are good at sniffing things out and mauling Rats that run too slow...
I still say low prices with optional (low cost) sheaths being available works. Keep up the good work Dan and Patti.
