A knife that doesn't get used is a useless knife. I say chop stuff until the scales drop off.

She is so pretty but yet deep down I think I want to use her...hmmm...this is really tough. Enough looking...now chop something. Dan dan, i know we macho knife guys are supposed to shy away from sounding like hippies, but i gotta say that's like profound voodoo wisdom. it's really not your knife, in a deeper sense than simple ownership, until you perform a task with it. the wear on the blade is as good as putting your mark on it.

I'm a gov't contractor and edge weapons instructor....I ALWAYS carry at least 3 knives at all times. This next deployment in Africa , I'll be taking a ScrapYard SoD , the SwampRat MiniMojo and the DumpsterMutt. I depend and USE these knives for utility , survival and close quarters combat. These knives are my daily/everywhere and always companions. I've been depoyed 27 times in the past 23yrs , and my knives have literately saved my life. I take the blades I carry VERY seriously ....I treat them with love , respect and as an form of art. They are a part of my life that can always be depended on. The spirit of the steel is alive and well in my world of "adventure". Use what you have...love what you got.
