How many of you fine gentlemen carry a fixed blade every day as opposed to or in addition to a folder?

If you do, which one(s)?

Wow, a new death chat is born.

I feel so free to say whatever I want, without being concerned about repeating myself.

The Israelis think of everything. That's probably why they're God's chosen people.

pitbull i like that S&W! i been looking at the G19 as well.....really i have no funds for guns....but when i do i want to be know what i want.

For a new gun owner, I recommend a quality revolver in .357.

You can fire .38 Special in it for cheap training fodder and so you're not developing a flinch from the blast & recoil of .357 full house loads.

The revolver is reliable, accurate, and simple to use....a true point & click interface.

The 28 pictured above is S&W's large frame. It's heavy, so it soaks up recoil. It is bulk though, and can be a bit much to carry.

Here's a mint Model 19 in .357.

It's a K frame, which is a medium frame. It is lighter and more comfortable to carry, but one should avoid a steady diet of .357 full power loads. Train with .38 and defend with .357 in a K frame.

They also made the 19 in a 2-3/4" barrel for CCW-

Of course if you want to go on the cheap, get either of these two-

The S&W Model 10, the most ubiquitous .38 police revolver in history-

Or the Ruger Service Six in .357

Both are frequently found for less than $300 at gunshops and pawn shops. Many are police trade ins that still have plenty of life left in them.

Actually, I carry 3 knives on my person. A fixed, a folder, and my Spyderco Ladybug.

Do you carry the fixed in your bag or on your belt?

What do you carry, and do you carry it on your belt?

I only ask because I'm considering it myself.
