The Scar is okay looking, but I haven't handled one yet. I agree on the price though. Ouch! I like some of the piston driven uppers that have come out lately. Especially, the HK version. Very cool! Here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGwkHktkTxU I shot a 416 and a LW piston upper 2 weekends ago (full auto natch ) and they were both very nice. Honestly, I haven't had any reliability issues with my DI AR's, so I'm almost loathe to change at the price difference between piston & DI uppers. For the most part, my DI ARs have been okay, but not as reliable as any of my AKs. I also like the easy of cleaning on the piston driven uppers. What is this cleaning of which you speak???

How about the new FN SCAR rifles? They're pretty cool but expensive. would love to have a SCAR but have you seen the tag??? more like FN SLP or PS90.. i really, really want a FNAR but that's gonna be a while i think. FNH stuff is really nice though and i'm keeping the FNP9 on my impulse buy list until i get one. You don't want an FNAR. They look neat, but check out the maintenance/breakdown procedures for them. They couldn't be more complicated to break down and clean if they tried. Go ahead...Google it. It's almost laughable to see it done in a video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLuznnkmy2k thanks for the link... i've seen a lot of info... just can't get it out of my head and wonder if it's more hype than user experience. thing is that it's $1700 and everything says you won't be able to find mags so i'll pace myself on this purchase and hold off until i get the full picture. I've got a friend who has one. He's a "buy the next new thing" kind of person. He seems to like it, but when I mentioned the breakdown & cleaning proceedures, he just chuckled and said "Yeah, um, it's not as easy as a FAL is it?"
okay when dude said allen wrench i was pretty much done. i think that was 30 seconds into the video. after 2 minutes i was like "your screen name is lazi." uhh... nahhh..... so now i'm looking at the bolt action fnh and shot guns....
The PBR from FN is nice. Buy it from CDNN and it's practically cheap
This is probably the longest quote string I've ever seen on the forums. Nice guys!
And now I made it worse!
You made it better!
Funny stuff.

They have pricing on their long guns and accessories, but handguns you have to call for a price. Pricing's actually pretty good on most items. Enjoy- http://www.cdnninvestments.com/dowournewcat.html
didn't want to take up too much space so it a good thing i left the pic out. but i wonder how the fnh slp compares to the mossberg 930 spx?
I've heard good things about the Mossie, but haven't handle one. The FN's are pretty much good to go, however. At least the one's I've tried.

I'm not to hip on the DIs dumping of carbon/heat into the bolt and carrier. It's nice that other designs keep the fowling outside of the mechanism of the firearm, making them easier to clean and more reliable.
