However, I am looking for something smaller and not so bright to carry and for around the house. 225 lumen bouncing off a white wall is a lot of light.

For survival wouldn't you want a solar light or something that doesn't rely on batteries? Like the kind you shake to charge??? For some things, most definitely. But you aren't going to get thousands of lumens out of those, from what I've seen of them! I like lights that I can use to blind people from 50 yards during the day. That's what I use my 115 lumen Coleman for. $24 and change at Walmart: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10196614For the price this is a nice little light.

Where do you guys get lanyards from? I need a good source. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I bought some but they are too short... been getting my lanyards for el clintor here on the forum. pm him and if you have any problems with one of his lanyards i'm pretty sure he'll make it right.

I have a $25 surefire you can get at bass pro it's a little thicker than a pen and it's really bright. I couldn't find it on thier website but I know the bass pro by me in south Florida always has em. They are so awesome . I use them at work everyday. They look kinda tactical and are black sorry I can't find a pic or something. Ohh and it uses good old check AAA batteries. Cheap and bright .
