I learned how to make them from paracord on YouTube . Aslo survival bracelets ect. It's really east to do and it's east to make exactly the size you want . For some cool accesories check out this site. http://www.wilsontactical.com

For survival wouldn't you want a solar light or something that doesn't rely on batteries? Like the kind you shake to charge???

Well, this one claims 700 Lumens... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> 700 Lumens Yeah, that's bright to signal aircraft for landing! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> or blind the pilot trying... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I have a Surefire G2 with aluminum head and a Cree5 lamp. Really bright at about 225 lumen, and good battery life. It doubles as a weapon light on my Colt 6921.

For survival wouldn't you want a solar light or something that doesn't rely on batteries? Like the kind you shake to charge??? For some things, most definitely. But you aren't going to get thousands of lumens out of those, from what I've seen of them! I like lights that I can use to blind people from 50 yards during the day.
