ive found that an old belt might work for the thigh strap...ive ditched the bag mount and will just go with the tiny jansport lumbar pack ive acquired...

Its an iron fence with shrubs behind it. No primeing, just slapping a coat on it to cover the fading. I've only partially finished the gate and it looks much better.
Later I am going to sand down the front door and repaint it too. Actually, I will sand and prep it and my bro-in-law will shoot a few coats on it for a smoother finish.
Ever thought about using a power washer? Crank the pressure up to maximum and get in close. Anything that CAN come off, WILL come off. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Faster than mucking around with sand unless you have an actual sand blaster.
