Hopefully he doesn't stamp "snotpig" on them... don't think the bride-to-be would be too crazy about that logo on her wedding knife

That would be an awesome deal, but I can see where your better half would kind of look at the Snotpig as the wrong thing at a wedding LOL.

I actually don't really care whether people use their knives or not - I just don't see much value in storing knives away in a safe for me personally. I don't get any enjoyment out of looking at my knives, or knowing they are stored in a safe - I get enjoyment out of putting them to work.

That's part of why I would take such joy in using a safe queen - I don't tell those collectors they shouldn't store their knives in velvet-lined drawers, so they shouldn't tell me that a #1 of some rare knife isn't supposed to be used. And if it brings them a little discomfort to see me use it.... well, that's just icing on the cake.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get my hands on an incredibly rare and valuable #1 LE, something from way back in the day, that's virtually impossible to obtain...

and immediately take it to a junkyard and cut up a car door with it. Just to watch them pop a gasket.

Me too. They are tools, and need to be used

Long live the S5LE!

The Scrapper 5 LE is the ultimate SY LE in several ways.

1. It is the only INFI LE.
2. It is the only SY satin blade in INFI.
3. It is the largest INFI blade from SY.
4. It is the largest mudder handled SY Blade.
5. It is one of the rarest and fewest in number.

As nice as the SS4 is, this one will be at least as sought after. Now aren't you glad you got one?

Yes, I am

My favorite knife right now is probably the REGULATOR, and to think I didn't even like or want it when it came out. I'm having so much fun beating on that knife. It's such a stress reliever.

This is the most action the DC III has seen in a while.

Wow, what a day!! I got in early on the dawg bowl(maybe not early enough for my JYD#) which I didn't find out about until 6:30 PM Pacific(9:30 PM Eastern) and then I come home to my newest custom knife by Matt Bailey. It has a fantastic Ironwood contoured handle, a spectacular hamon, file work on the spine, evidence of the forged finish, and it was sharp out of the box. I have a bunch of his knives, but this is his best one yet. Oh, it also has a bit of a recurve to it and has mosaic pins. Pretty sure he hit all my favorite traits of a knife.

It's forged 1095 and clay coated for the hamon. The blade is 9" and OAL is 14 1/4"

Here are some of Matt's photos of it.

Wow what a gorgeous knife, Ted.

I've so far resisted the urge to get into customs, but pictures like those make them mighty tempting...

I saw a couple at BLADE that I wanted very much to bring home with me. There was a damascus fillet knife, in particular, that caught my eye, and a breathtaking mirror polished kukri with some great scrollwork and inlays.

Nice blade Ted. Looks like it would make a good cake knife.
