bout to do a little mini chopoff. hell razor, sarQ, recon scout, gransfors mini, and my very own magnum cleaver. may bring the trail master or battle rat as a big knife for benchmarking.

i'm done. i was rooting for the gransfors, which came in dead last. not even close to the others, which were all capable. hell razor came fourth, beaten by the recon scout which has more weight in the blade and less in the grip. then came the cleaver and the sarQ, which achieved similar results (one was designed based on the other). the cleaver made a slightly wider v, i'm guessing from the much less comfortable grip. think it may win decisively if i put on a real handle rather than that 550 wrap.

for comfortable chopping, sarQ wins. for now.

Thanks to a great member here I got one of my grail knives, a Dog Father--and a DDF at that! The DF is what got me to the Yard in the first place and now I have one!
