There is such a following with busse just like mac ... i mean how many people tried to buy the Iphone with out a detailed spec or even looking at the spec sheet... i have a friend that has bought one of each generation of the power book just based on it being a mac.... but this is probably why i have so many SYs the price is right , and there useful for me... i see jerrys as more collector orienty which im not for the most part... i havnt been around SR much , but i like what i see , its like between JY and BC.....

only major differnce i see in mac and busse is that these knives normaly go up in value instead of tossed away lol

I dont know what this knife is ill try to dig it outta the old shop when i can.... i honestly dont know what tool box its in...

but its basicly a large bar of steel about a quarter inch thick with a fairly dull convex grind... i picked it up for a demolition job my friend was doing to cut a house.... its rolled and chipped a bit but it bites down.... it wont slice a peice of paper....

i also had a few tungsten carbide cutting tools.... i wouldnt say knife... but they definatly would put a hurt on most things.....

and at the same time, there are a lot of people than never even heard of Busse, but your right about the value, it never hurts to have a few laying around

I have only had one knife replaced by a maker. The CRK green beret. They contacted me and wanted it back to look at. They offered to replace it. Most of the knives I still have here. I have sent some of them back to the person who donated them and sent a few to people who wanted it as a souvenir. I sent all the sheaths out to a person who wanted them. I seem to be collecting them again.

I appreciate the pool but this has just caused problems before when some tried to start one in the past. So I don't encourage this. Thanks anyways. I have a pile of knives here to test so I have plenty to keep my busy for a long while.

hey i am not throwing it in a neg light.... i personaly see no use in buying most mac products... but i love busse knives....

mix , people/warrenty/designs/steel/community/resale value and its very hard to beat busse and bussekin blades

mind you i own many knives but these are some of my favs... i also have a few RC rats .... i dont see any company as an end all be all of any thing... but i got a few favs...

The one thing I really love about the Busse line, is Jerry's handles, some of that G-10 looks just pure awesome, I've found some G-11 material that had a couple odd patterns, but mostly opaque with no design in one color. I have the real deal snakeskin micarta , but only a few pieces so i try to be select on what they go on.

agreed some of the handles are beautifly done.... if i had a fancy suit i would probably have a busse mean streets with a pritty handle and a nice rainwalker leather.... i have a dress gun and holster too and folder.. being a crkt mcguinness ... but i only wear my suit around 4 times a year

as far as Jerry's custom shop goes, do you know if its only limited to the handles, or will he make major changes to a blade design of his for you.
