it costs a bit more for people to add pride i have learned the hard way..... lol most people dont wanna pay extra for quality sometimes though, i dont even think its a matter of paying extra for quality, its just a matter of someone who just half-asses their job. i recall many a time where i have seen people pay top dollar to get something "done right" by a top name, and still find mistakes in the job. There are ways to do some things the right way without spending alot of money...sometimes that may not mean that it is aesthetically pleasing but gets the job done properly and at least its done right.

agreed sno but thats where research helps.... its never perfect and some times and at some scales nothing really is... but i have had to spend lots of money to fix other peoples mess ups , and its hard to say if my repairs will do the job... some times the job is impossible... that being said , some people would just throw it togeather and be done with it.... my work costs a bit more because ill spend more time with it ... you will pay one way or another in time or money... for me time is money ... its just how i gotta think... i have a few things i just make , but there quality at a price level... and its to fit differnt markets...

1200 bucks estimate for the repair. I know I could do it myself for a couple hundred in materials, but I don't know if I want the hassle or to buy the extra tools I'll need.
I could do a crappy job of the repair and have it hold up for the next few years, since I'm planning to sell the house soon... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
