It's gotta be more durable than what was up there - that thing was a joke. I could have made a lid out of paper mache and it would have been stronger.
I'll probably try to call up the manufacturer of the fan and get a replacement part at some point, but it's gonna storm again this weekend so I needed something up there.

So I've had all these house repairs to do, and I tackled another small one today... The storm knocked a hole in the dome that covers the exhaust fan in my attic. Naturally, none of the local stores carries replacement domes, and since the fan itself was working perfectly, I was unwilling sacrifice neither the work to install a new fan nor the money to buy a new fan. So I had to improvise. In true redneck fashion, I present... It's not goin at all. I set my prices crazy high because I really dont want to let go of most of those knives unless I'm making some dough, and am not at all surprised that nothing is moving. I've offered some discounts to Dogs privately, but so far no one has bit. Get it? Dogs - bit?? I kill me. If you see anything you like, shoot me a PM and we can talk about it some more - I have to bring myself to let some of these go and get the repairs paid for so I can start racking up CC debt again on new stuff <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

i have done far worse repairs MM , good work .....
yikes it looks like a lotta steel might be hitting the market in future.... this could get intresting ....
oh and man i need a good new multi tool.... any more i get sick of the ones i got and go find the tool bag....
