One trick, Somber - don't pull the hammock crazy tight when you tie it up. If you look at my hammock here, you'll see that the suspension lines form a pretty steep angle to the trees. You want to tie the hammock up above head level, so the lines run on a downward angle to the hammock, putting it at a comfortable height to get into it. ![[Linked Image from farm3.static.flickr.com]](http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2491/4027854730_0a4dd9fce9_o.jpg) If the ridgeline on the inside of the bug netting is so tight you can pluck it like a guitar string, you've got the hammock suspended too tight. Loosen it up a bit and it will be more comfortable. Also, make sure you are really laying on the diagonal - you want your left shoulder right up against where the left tieout point is, and your feet all the way to the right where the other tieout is. You'll get a lot flatter and be a lot more comfortable that way.

... yep i got it fairly well , its comfy .... i need to put my bags in it and stuff... im hoping i wont have to forget it this trip cause i dont have an under quilt ... i dont thin i could get one shipped to me in a week any way...
when im laying in it . the ridge line is pretty tight... but just below guitar string ... its perfectly relaxed when im not in it... its hung up fairly high bout half an arms length over my head so it comes in just above my knees to sit down.. a little shifting and im laying flat... i gotta work on my knot tieing though and getting the guy lines out and properly set but it holds tight pretty well... i like it so far... might have to find a bigger one lol ....
totaly dig the door... so easy to deal with.... much better then most hamocks i have tried...

If you can't get the undercover in time, try a normal camping sleeping pad. It will require some gymnastics to get it under you in the hammock, but will keep you plenty warm.
