i don't think vista is all that bad, but it did run a little sluggish for me. 7 however, looks good, run smoothly (compatible with pretty much software/hardware), and awesome networking made easy.
7 is more like a big update of vista, they just changed the name because vista had such a terrible rep.

the guy taking the pics had four huge boxes of gear, lights, lenses, reflectors, strobes, etc. He works for Airman (AF) magazine. The whole experience was pretty neat.
