Lots of nice guns people have here.

I didnt mean to get into a "which is better debate". There are a LOT of excellent options out there today, and as far as I can tell, what counts is that you HAVE them.

I have a LOT of guns...the only one that I HATE is the HiPoint.

Now that is one serious piece of junk...but for $125 bucks I am not sure what I was really expecting.

i hate taurus.... but thats me i seen too many malfunctions and issues with em... for the price i would take a hi point over a taurus... dont get me wrong , i have held a few good revolvers from them but seriously some of the stuff i have run across from them , is worse then hi point...

oh well i honestly like a lotta the guns on the market today. some times i question the level of training some people get... but i rarely try to question there choices.

Nice XD Roor.

I have a couple of Glocks and I hear a lot of guys like the XD's over the Glocks.

I don't have any experience with the XD's, but do you like them over the Glocks?

I'd settle for a new Regulator. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, I don't like Taurus one bit, but I dont have one either.

I have not been impressed with any Ruger auto I have ever been around, but I am really interested in trying out a LCP for carry. Sounds like it is better than Kel-tec, which I have not heard anything particularly good about...but have never tried one.

I really want a little pocket gun for when the G27 is just a little too bulky. Pretty hard to beat 11 rounds of .40 though, at least in a package that small.

Speaking of price and bottom barrel... How do you guys feel about Hi Point firearms. I'm asking because they are cheap and I came across some fans of these guns. They are butt ugly and all but some of the owners are really impressed with them. Hard not to have one in a tool box from what in reading.

Ah, just noticed this post.

They are ugly. Real ugly...but that isn't the issue. The frames are made of plastic, and when I say plastic, I do not mean the same plastic as glock. I mean plastic similar to the plastic handle of a Frost knife from Cutlery Corner. The slides are some sort of pot metal, and it seems the only piece of steel on the gun is the barrel. The black coating on the slide seems to be grill paint, and they are as heavy as a Dewalt cordless drill, and the .45s are approximately the same size. They are all single stack stamped steel mags with plastic bottoms, and my 9mm jams ALL the time. One of the red dots came out of the sights while shooting the second mag.

All that, and you have to have the mag in to shoot it (I know a lot of guns have that, but I hate it).

I will say that the .45 that I shot was decently accurate for what it was and did not have any jams while I was shooting it.

So, overall, for a $130 dollar gun, I am not impressed, BUT lots of people out there swear that they have had no issues.

That is my experience though...inaccurate and unreliable, ugly and awkward, heavy and junky.

YMMV.

My buddy said he held it next to a S&W and though that it was lighter, more comfortable AND had a much better trigger!

All about the North American Arms PUG 22 mag 5 rounds and a front night sight. In my change pocket all day every day, if I'm not working I add a Kimber Ultra CDP II, iwb.

An S5LE (in an awesome FREE! Buy Brown sheath) and or a SARSquatch is usually close by in my computer bag, if I need to poke bigger holes than .22.

Still saving up for a couple of XCR-Ls in 7.62x39 once they get some in.
