We just got some new Mythbusters material here. Those guys are pretty funny. I have some friends who have accused them of being poor scientists, which they often are. However, the show isn't called "Sciencebusters". They do have a fairly simple and common-sense approach to a lot of questions (many of which are completely stupid, you have to admit). What they are very VERY good at doing, is making people think. Even if you think they're wrong, you have to invest some thought to define why and how you would do it better. I imagine there are few television shows that actually stimulate viewers analysis skills.

I dont see the need for the GAP guns, so I'll stay by the 45ACP as a ball ammo defensive round.

still into em? There's some reasons why hollow point ammunition is better for everybody involved... Fewer shots required for an effective end of hostilities, less over-penetration, less bleeding from target... What's the arguments against it?

of course I'd take 45 over 9. Thats why I said the 21, 30 or 36.
I'd take 10MM over all in autoloaders if I could have hollowpoints.
FMJ 10mm would shoot through WAY too many people.
