Thanks.

sorry. it may be different from painting but many painters and sculptors just replicate their heroes. many guitarists are only playing their heroes music. i consider that a lack of the creative element that defines artists.
however, i'm probably wrong as john coltrain was basically playin charlie parker and he's no less a genius for that.

Thanks. HAH! not all rants are created equal. some are thought out while others are mere rationalizations of an emotional response to pink knives.

I don't even know to start about people who think like that Evo. They are the "world is flatters". I think they are like the old guy in traffic slowing you down who keeps you from ending up in the deadly pile up five minutes ahead of you. In the end they are the one who make bein good at what you do worth it.

There are many who replicate, and many who imitate. There are also some who work in a more creative mode – some do it through a derivative mode, and others through a more inspired interpretive approach.

It's funny that you mention "world is flatters", because part 2 of the article I'm writing actually discusses the historic belief that the world was flat, and lets them draw them implications. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

LOL he really wouldn't quit, either! who wants to bother engaging one who can't tell the difference between knowledge and taste?

That's cool, Mag.
I hope your sketches fetch a lot.
Which charity?
I miss drawing, too. I ended up a photographer, but I'm really as much a draughtsman, painter, and sculptor.
