i won't be donating sketches, but wood burned guitars. kinda puts my old stuff and new stuff in one basket.
we're trying to raise money to build a new church. it's a poor congregation of immigrants and the building is beat up and overpopulated. i've brought it up before, doing other things.

Does the church have a choir? Break out the LS10 and record 10 songs. Make it a fun performance and put it to CDR and/or upload to CD baby. Sell them for as much as anybody you see may have in your pockets. $1-$10 depending on how much it costs to make the CD.

i have been involved with their singers before. they're not very good at timing, intonation, harmony...basically everything that makes music.

Next up would be the rev and the piano or organ player. A 30-45 minute nspirational recording with backing music would do. Easy work and something you can put I'm peoples hands.

i use the regular woodburning iron. it's like a short soldering pen but hotter.

i shouldnt refer to them in the third person, as it's my church too, but i'm something of an outsider. i am not a deacon, i don't know the hymns, i don't read coptic, i don't teach sunday school, and i don't attend the retreats. everyone else does or is.
