A friend bought a Norinco clone of the 1911 for $350 and it is surprisingly well made

im awaiting the verdict on the ruger lcp.....i also liked the lcr...friend of mine just got some tiny kahr .45acp i would love a ruger lcr. both get good reviews, but the lcr supposedly has the best factory double action trigger out there.

dang 350 ?!
thats a heck of a deal...theres someone i know on another site that knows all the replacement parts to get for most 1911's nowadays...
says alot of the metals that are needed like in the extractors arent made of the right spring steel...
might look into that...

the sig p250 are DAO but really nice triggers, at least i loved it when i fondled it at the last show

i wouldn't skimp on a 1911. not for quality concern or anything like that. it just deserves to be premium.
