I had never seen what Twitter looks like, either, until just a coule days ago. A couple days ago, I went on a major name-snarfing campaign, grabbing my personal name and business name on major sites, before someone else got them, first. So, I signed up for Twitter a couple days ago, as part of my name snarfing campaign.

When i register my .com I will be doing the same Evo. It's just good business at this point practice. If you don't somebody else will and it might be a 10 year old or even your competition link to their sites. Why chance it?

I don't use it to post useless blather like a lot of people do. I use it to post interesting links I come across mostly. Recently I've just been posting on FB, because there are more people there on my friends list to see what I post.
