That happens all the time. More and more, I can refer them to the answer.

Interestingly, through Google Analytics, I can tell whether they visit where I refer them, and I can tell how long they stay on the page. So, I know with fair confidence that they usually do not read my explanation.

I'm OK with that – their loss.

I have been tempted to say to some people who ask me certain things that I am not convinced they truly want to know. Google Analytics is affirming that they often don't want to know to the point that they're willing to do the necessary labor to learn.

I've seen big amps. I know how hard some are to transport.

On the other hand, some people demonstrate great eagerness to learn.

i would have expected it to know when the data loaded, not how long i left it on the screen.

It'll tell both. It also tells what the resolution of your screen is, and the number of colors it can display, and what browser you're using, and much more.

There are other tools I can use to get even more detailed information, if I really wanted it.
