Thanks. I also have another brass knuckles not shown, an aluminum kubaton, a couple wooden batons, 26” stainless ASP, military riot baton ($8 or so at Knob Creek in the 90’s) etc. etc.
i almost bought that plastic tanto a few months ago. how do you like it?
It's pretty neat. One of the larger plastic knives I've seen. I read a tip that you can attach it to your shower head with a bead chain. Then you're not defenseless if someone attacks you in the shower ala Psycho.
The Choate ones are really nice. Very sturdy. If you buy in bulk and get 100, they're only $2 each! Group buy!
Great stocking stuffers. I've heard the ice scraper one really is a decent ice scraper. I have the ace of spades, and the letter opener. They're very tough, no bend to them at all. The CS ones will flex.
there are times when being confident and assertive and explorative really run in direct opposition to being realistic. ignoring the way the world actually works does not make you free and independent and artistic. somehow being concerned for someone else doing these things has made me the oppressive champion of negativity and evil.
I've been messing with whips since I was a kid. When I went to mexico with my folks as a kid, oh I guess about 1-10 all I wanted (and got) was a cheepo otf switchblade and a 10 ft whip. still have it, and it is loads of fun. I've also got an 8 footer, it too is a blast. Just pick out a certain leaf on a tree and have at it! And I made myself a bolo with lead fishing weights and braided nylon rope. Kind a cool but not really all that pratical beings how long it is and will tangle up while carrying in your pocket.

A nice walking stick or cane (got my triple grip from CaneMasters in incline village Nevada) are pretty slick, VERY durable but not cheap, but they are good.

You still have it? Wow, I bought several whips as a kid, but they're gone now. I whipped with them until they fell apart! You could always make your own: http://cachefly.oreilly.com/make/whip.pdf

A good alternative...at Rural King, you can get a 1" thick hickory cane for $9! They used to have them on their website, but I just looked and didn't see them. They might have them in store if you have one near you. Just add a rubber tip on it and you're all set. MUCH cheaper than the CaneMaster canes. A lot of people get this one as a cheaper substitute. You can read threads about it at EDCforums.
Yeah I've still got it, but It's been through a few poppers though. Got a round synthetic shoelace on it now and measures about 12 ft. Don't mess with it much any more, the neighbors might think a 54 year old man shouldn't be "playing" with whips. I have gotten after a couple of dogs with it though, boy does it make em run!
I've seen some folks use shovel and rake/hoe handles for walking sticks, costs a bit more than $6.00 but works pretty good. BTW, what's a Rural king?
